What are the store hours? 
​

Our hours can vary by season, but our standard hours are:
           Thursday   12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
           Friday        12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
           Saturday    12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
           Sunday      12 p.m. - 5 p.m.
           Monday     12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
           Tuesday & Wednesday    Closed  
We have extended hours for holidays.  You can follow us on Facebook, Instagram or sign up for our newsletter to receive up to date information on store hours during holidays. 

Parking and Directions

Art Collective is located at 
141 A N. Market St.
Frederick, MD 21701

Metered Street parking is available via coin payment with 2hr limits.  We strongly advise all our visitors to park at the Church Street Garage located at 17 East Church Street. Garage parking is $1 per hour. The 24-hour maximum weekday rate is $12. Maximum weekday nightly and weekend parking is $5. Parking is free on Sundays from 8AM-2PM, and hourly rate after 2PM.​

What types of items do you sell?

At Art Collective we sell a little bit of everything - fine art, clothing, jewelry, bags, interesting mixed media materials, home decor, stationary, stickers and many unusual things you won't find in many boutiques in downtown Frederick.  If it’s fun, one of a kind or just And everything is handmade! If you’re looking for something specific just reach out to us via our contact form.

How do I request a custom order from an artist in your shop?

You can request a custom order from any of the artists by calling, emailing or visiting the shop during our hours of operation.  

Do you offer gift cards? 
​

Yes we do offer gift cards.  You can contact the shop in person or go online to purchase one

CLASSES FAQs

What Supplies should I have for the class? 
​

Supplies are listed for individual classes and you will receive an email with specifics about the class you are taking.  It is always a good idea to bring a notepad or some way to keep notes.  For classes that involve paints, an apron comes in handy as well. 

Can I arrive early to the class? 

Yes love for students to arrive early so that you can have time to find parking and and find the shop.  If your class starts before 12pm, before we open to retail shopping, the front door may be locked.  If this happens please knock on the door and someone will let you in.

Will there be a lunch break? 
​

Classes that are more than 3 hours generally do have a 45 minute lunch break.  Our art studio is spacious enough for classes, yet with all the art supplies we discourage eating in the classroom space.  With so many fabulous restaurants within walking distance we strongly recommend that you plan to treat yourself to one of the local spots. You can find a list of places here and our staff is happy to recommend their favorites.

We are always adding new class topics and would love to hear from you.  You can fill out our survey and get on our mailing list as well to keep updated when new classes are offered.

If a class is full, can I join a waitlist?
​

You can join the waitlist for a current class. If a student has to cancel we will contact persons on the waitlist in the order that they signed up.

​

To inquire about teaching at Art Collective, email us at [email protected] with a Subject: Teaching.
Briefly describe your class idea and we will follow-up with you within four weeks.
