Join Chelsea after the shop closes for a workshop on techniques to manipulate alcohol inks on a special paper. Your eyes will be delighted by the way these translucent inks flow when you drip, blow, splat and move them around on a polypropylene paper. You will oooh and ahhh over each technique you learn.  While this is a technique class, you will leave with inks of your own and some drawings/paintings that you'll love.

Supplies provided: Yupo paper, set of 3 Ranger brand alcohol inks, a spritzer with gold Pinata alcohol ink and a variety of tools to use.

What you might want to bring: Maybe an apron. I have a limited number of aprons for use on a first come first serve basis.

We are going to spend 3 days* playing with papers! Friday evening, we will work with resin to create a focal piece to use on your journal cover. Saturday, we will create our own mixed media papers using a variety of techniques (I call this “paper play”). Topics will include gelli plate printing, collage, painting papers, stenciling, stamping, and spray painting. These papers will be great to use in all sorts of projects, like collage and a junk journal! Sunday we will gather all our created papers and get out our miscellaneous paper fodder to personalize our pages and to add elements like pockets, flaps and tuck spots. Finally, we will use a simple binding technique to unite our signatures into a 5x7 journal.
*3 Day - Day 1 is an evening workshop, not a full day.
